1. Journal – We hope you’ve been taking notes throughout the conference, but we know the sheer amount of new information can be daunting. With so much to absorb, set aside some time to reflect on the experiences and inspirations that you have taken away from this intensive week.
2. Network – Boldface is all about connections. Many attendees have made lasting friendships at Boldface; they have found writing partners, beta readers and on-going encouragement from people who share their passion. Follow up with your new contacts. Link up on social media, by email, or even an old fashioned coffee date if you’re in the same town.
3. Write – Most importantly, WRITE, WRITE, WRITE. You will have received a lot of feedback on your workshopped piece. Take time to incorporate anything you’ve found useful. Beyond that you may want to work on the results of writing prompts, craft exercises, or even a random comment that sparked a creative itch you just can’t wait to scratch.
Don’t forget that our Robertson Prize Competition is open exclusively for this year’s Boldface Attendees. Any work that is linked to Boldface through workshop, open-mic reading, craft talk, or was in any way inspired by your conference experience is eligible. Winners receive a cash prize, publication in our Glass Mountain Magazine, and a scholarship to next year’s Boldface Conference. The competition is open until August 1st, and you can submit your work here. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
4. Keep in touch – Lastly, be sure to follow us on social media, and check our website frequently. We have some exciting features planned in the next few months to keep you inspired and motivated between conferences. We hope many of you will come back later. See you next May!

“I have never been in a place where I was surrounded by so many creative, passionate people. People who were passionate about the same thing I was… I came out more confident, a better writer, and with a ton of new friends. I also conquered my fear of flying and boy was it worth it. I’d go back to Boldface every month if I could.”
