Glass Mountain, the University of Houston’s undergraduate literary magazine, will host our annual Boldface Conference for Emerging Writers from May 20th-24th at the Honors College in the University of Houston. The conference is open to any writer who has not yet published a book through a major publisher or enrolled in an MFA Creative Writing Program.
The Boldface Conference includes daily workshops, readings, craft talks, editor talks, and manuscript consultations, and takes place on UH’s campus! Workshops will be held for four days culminating with a capstone, conference-wide reading on the fifth and final day. Access to craft talks, readings, and editor talks held by our passionate group of featured folks will be available to all conference participants throughout the week. Additionally, registration to the Boldface Conference includes unlimited coffee and free lunch each day of the week!

The Boldface Conference is an opportunity for writers of all ages to sharpen their creative skills, find a community in which they can share their work, and now more than ever, build real and lasting connections with other writers.
